Joining the Consortium

The Aluminum MMC Consortium is now accepting new members to join it in its current mission:

To facilitate expanded application of Discontinuously Reinforced Aluminum (DRA) materials in commercial and military products by developing manufacturing process technology, design confidence, and increased awareness

There are currently three categories of membership for commercial organizations, universities, and National Labs:

Subscriber ($500 per year)

This membership category is for those that seek to maintain awareness of the progress and opportunities in the Aluminum MMC Industry.

Benefits include:

• Unlimited access to the User Resource Center on the Consortium web site, providing a one stop source for information on aluminum MMCs
• Listing in the Aluminum MMC Consortium Resource Directory in the members only User Resource Center

 Associate Participant ($5000 per year)

This membership category is for those interested in direct participation in the Technology Development Programs and achieving high visibility but not being involved in the strategic direction and management of the Consortium. Associate Participants will receive the following benefits:

• Participation in and access to information developed by the Technology Development Programs per the specific project agreement
• Promotion of products and services through a listing and e-mail/WWW site link on the public area of the Consortium web site
• Discounted participation in Consortium activities, including Annual Meeting and other Consortium-sponsored workshops and display booths at technical meetings
• Unlimited use of the User Resource Center

 Voting Participant ($7500 per year)

This category of membership is for those with a strong commitment to the Aluminum MMC Industry and the desire to shape the direction of the Consortium.

Benefits include:

• Voting position on the Aluminum MMC Consortium Steering Group (subject to approval)
• All Associate Participant benefits

Affiliate Participant

Government agencies are invited to become Affiliate Participants of the Aluminum MMC Consortium through a Memorandum of Agreement mechanism.
